Kids benefit from locals generosity

KIDS at Blayney Bilby's playgroup are now enjoying riding their bikes and scooters thanks to the construction of a new paved recreation area at the Soldiers Memorial Hall in Church Street.

Volunteers recently took part in a working bee to complete construction of the area, which has been made possible thanks to a Blayney Shire Council community improvements grant and the fundraising efforts of the playgroup committee.

Local businesses Toshack Earthmoving, Mid West Concrete, Australian Native Landscapes and Blayney Concrete all helped construct the area, which has given the children an opportunity to ride their bikes in a safe outdoor environment.

Playgroup organisers are encouraging any families, interested in joining the group, to head to the Soldiers Memorial Hall in Church Street, Blayney on a Monday between 10am and 2pm.

For more details contact Fiona from the Bilby's on 0459 684 852.
