STUDENTS at Blayney Public School are getting ready to kick up their heels as they prepare to host a school and community bush dance on Friday February 17.
The bush dance has been organised for the community by Blayney Public School in a bid to get everyone together at the start of the school year.
School Principal Bruce Inwood said it's an opportunity for families to get together for a night of friendly fun.
"You don't have to be from Blayney Public to join in - all families are being encouraged to come along with a picnic supper to enjoy an evening of bush dancing to music provided by 'November Shorn'," he said.
"The band will teach everyone the steps of the dances as they play.
This is a wonderful way of getting to meet new families in the town and get to know each other a little more in a pleasant family oriented social gathering."
A sausage sizzle will also be available at the dance, which kicks off at 6.30pm next Friday in the grounds of Blayney Public School.
Family tickets are available from the school office for $10. For more information phone 6368 2154.
